Part 2 > a stroll along the house music seashore takes a left turn into the undertow for some some beatless electronics and back out into the sunrise on the techno side. it’s chicago anchoring the trip, with a couple of tastes of the deep-ended prescription sound, along with a touch of detroit from dan bell, and recent new-old sounds from aroy dee. relaxation sets in with 13 minutes of new scattered rhythms under smooth chords from finland’s vladislav delay, and heiko laux takes us back above the surface.

Part 1 > Time keeps on slippin, slippin, slippin… into the future. Matt pulls some hard swingin’ funk and docks the ship to a trippy italo disco skylab. Beautiful Japanese electropop circa 1981 from Logic System, and Juan Atkins future predictions from ’85 Detroit come true.

Part 2 > Dave throws in bleeps with an ounce of jack, subdued acoustic rhythms, and Detroit techno. Sun God brings the new jack sound of Chicago via Germany, while Claro Intelecto defines the new smooth. A cooled-down moody live feel runs downstream from RM-Sound on a 45, and the old smooth comes from Bowie and Eno.
