Part 2: Right-click to download (54min 128k MP3 = 50mb)

Part 1 > Riding a summer edge where moody techno meets house: Beautifully arranged electronics from Morgan Geist & Titonton rolls into a cool Mark Pritchard remix in a broken/midtempo flavor, and a seminal remix by Charles Webster of UK’s Hot Lizard. Part 2 > orchestral strings upstage their synthetic counterparts on deep techno from rene et gaston, which gets locked into a global communication idm classic. a jump back in time brings chicago’s tyree out for an industrial-tinged acid flashback, and we ride the night out with more uptempo melodic techno from aril brikha, carl craig, and kenny larkin (remixed by luke slater).

But Roy Ayers reminds us its all about Chicago, Chicago!

Part 1: Right-click to download (63min 128k MP3 = 58mb)

Part 1 > Starting in midtempo post-disco with Arthur Russell, a mix of synthy boogie tracks meet robotic beats from Kraftwerk and Isolee. Brand new italodisco style from Matzo & Pauli on Holland’s Viewlexx and new great energetic re-edit? on a mysterious new black label from Rong. Ending in an uplifting house place with a forthcoming jam from hotly tipped James Duncan on NYC’s Le Systeme that recalls the Prescription & KMS feel, and Chez-N-Trent close it out with their warm chicago/detroit dubbed out magic.

Part 2 > an extended tag-team starts with a housier vibe courtesy of recloose and joakim, and gets smoothed out with aril brikha and hot emotive new techno from pittsburgh’s sean rudiman. classic DBX remixed by carl craig gets a little mental, giving way to dancefloor techno from the uk’s paul mac and mark broom. Plus Metro Area’s b-side of flute dub deepness.

Part 2: a chicago-to-berlin connection starts us off in the mid 90s, and we forge several years earlier into bleepier cuts, including the eerie first release on the dutch eevo lute imprint. new music from u.s. producer gys (think monolake) darkens the picture, followed by a sampling of artificial intelligence sounds from the likes of stasis (under his various monikers), cim, and b12 with a haunting piece as cmetric..
