Matt sets a long launch pad through the dark and cosmic, then wringing out some longer and deeper house tracks. More new records this time out, including standouts from Oracy and a pair of Japanese artists really bringing it- alongside NY house moods and Detroit basement tracks.

ha, thanks I do indulge the odd guilty pleasure at least once or twice in a mix…
Always excited to hear a new mix from you matt. Theyre not as often as before but worth the wait. Thanks for listening to radio waves from space too!
I also wanted to ask if you would be interested in putting together a guest mix for the show at some point in the future?

Hi Matt,
Rafiq turned me onto your site. I’ve listened to one mix and can’t wait to hear more! Just added my address to your mailing list and can’t wait to hear what you come up with next!
Cheers,
Wendy S.
What a phenomenal choice of music .
An incredible balance between old and new.
Seldom I heard mixes telling such a complete story,
drowning me any many beautiful atmospheres and locations.
Keep it up…for a long time to come!
The mixes come almost natural ,the transitions are flawless.
Only one complaint.. Increase the pace…
On the other hand quality takes time and the anticipation for the next one is kinda exciting now…
Cheers,
Michael.

Michael – hey thanks that is exactly what we are going for… really appreciate you receiving the signals we are transmitting. I definitely try for sort of a ’story arc’ in every mix and it’s cool you picked up on it. Dave will get a new mix out in a week or so, stay tuned many more planned for 2009. Thanks for hanging with us. Peace -MM
Excellent mix. Highlights for me were the Mike Oldfield tune-I didn’t know he made Cosmic Disco!- the Oracy tune- after a year of not buying any new dance vinyl I actually bought this 12″ today! -and of course the ever reliable Theo, his tune giving the mix a real abstract jazz ending.
Awaiting the next transmission…

Hi Matt/Dave
just letting you two know of an excellent Prog Rock Documentary aired on BBC 4 last week, Doubt you guys will be able to catch it state side… it’s called “Prog_Rock_Britannia”
so here’s a torrent of the show… features interviews with Arthur Brown, mike Oldfield, Rick Wakeman etc… an excellent insight into an very important era
http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/4632788/Prog_Rock_Britannia_-_An_Observation_in_Three_Movements
don’t know whether you want to stick this as a comment as such – just thought it was the best way to get a message to you
cheers
Kie
thanks for the tip Kie, sounds awesome and thanks for posting. That era has affected (at times even accidentally) influenced electronic music and even ‘chillout’ and recent Balearic (both OG and new school) producers a lot more than most people think. peace, MM.
This mix is wonderful, cerebral, soundtracky, I love it. Best I’ve heard in a long time. It’s so atmospheric and evocative. I don’t know if you were consciously going for storytelling or not, but this is definitely an amazing piece of work.
thanks… glad you took the journey with us. peace, matt
Great work.
