Part 1 > Music for a hot summer night alone, gloomy soundtracks take a trip. A heartbreak dusty from One Way, icy synthesizers from Joy Division, inner city blues from Curtis Mayfield and deep cuts from Detroit’s Jeff Mills and Urban Tribe. This one isn’t exactly a ‘pick me up’ — but sometimes you just gotta get it all out.

Part 2 > Electronic boogie, simmering house, and dubbed-out techno are carefully tossed into the blender over ice for a midsummer’s treat. New psychedelic oscillations from Newworldaquarium, top-shelf filtered goodness from Substance & Vainqueur, beats broken and voices echoed by Burial, while Sven Weisemann and Oracy keep things smooth and simple.
